BALTIMORE, MD—A two-alarm fire on Saturday morning in northeast Baltimore’s Frankford community left a dozen families displaced, fire officials said.
The fire broke out shortly before 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 13 at a two-story apartment complex in the 4900 block of Crenshaw Avenue. Fire crews were on the scene within minutes, and a second alarm was called due to the extent of the blaze.
The Baltimore City Fire Department reported that the fire was under control by 11:30 a.m. No injuries were reported.
The American Red Cross is assisting the 12 displaced families with immediate needs.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
