ESSEX, MD—Crews are on the scene of a crash on I-695 in the Essex area.

The accident was reported at around 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, September 11 along the outer loop just before Route 702.

All outer loop lanes of the beltway have been shut down prior to MD 702.

There has been no word on any injuries. Motorists should use an alternate route.
