BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for central Maryland.

The watch will remain in effect until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 6 and covers Carroll County, Harford County, Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County, and Cecil County.

Damaging winds and isolated large hail are the main threats associated with any storms that develop

Forecasters say storms are most likely between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. in the watch area as a cold front passes through the region.
