BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service says scattered storms are expected throughout Maryland on Thursday.

The day will start out mostly sunny with gusty southerly winds providing warmer air.

Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will move across the area on Thursday afternoon and into the evening hours.

A few severe thunderstorms with locally damaging winds are possible.
