MTA provides Mobility update, interim call center hours following cyberattack

BALTIMORE, MD—The Maryland Transit Administration has provided an update on the cybersecurity incident affecting Mobility reservations and real-time tracking.

The incident, which involves unauthorized access to certain systems, is preventing riders from booking new trips or rebooking existing ones through the Mobility service.

The MTA, in coordination with the Maryland Department of Information Technology, is investigating the nature and scope of the incident. In a public service announcement, the MTA also noted that while Local Bus, Light Rail, and Metro Subway services are operating as scheduled, real-time tracking information is currently unavailable.

The MTA now says that riders can call 410-764-8181 to make trip reservations. Interim call center hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. through September 5th.

A reservation link is also available at https://www.mta.maryland.gov/mobility-reservations.

The MTA says it is still working to restore full service.
