CATONSVILLE, MD—Police have identified the victims in Thursday’s double murder suicide in Catonsville.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on August 28, officers responded to the 700-block of Wilton Farm Drive (21228) for a check-on-subject call.
Once on scene, officers located 42-year-old Chantel Sharieff, suffering from apparent trauma, along with her 6-year-old child, Kimana Sharieff, who sustained an apparent gunshot wound. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene. Mustafa Sharieff, 43, the father of Kimana and believed to be the suspect in this case, was located with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
At this time, detectives are investigating this incident as a double murder suicide. The Office of the Chief Medical Officer will complete a thorough examination into the manner and cause of death.
