CATONSVILLE, MD—Police are investigating Thursday’s triple-shooting in Catonsville as a double murder suicide.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on August 28, officers responded to the 700-block of Wilton Farm Drive (21228) for a check-on-subject call. Once on scene, officers located an adult female suffering from apparent trauma along with a child who sustained an apparent gunshot wound.  Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

An adult male, believed to be the suspect in this case, was located with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

At this time, detectives are investigating this incident as a double murder suicide. The Office of the Chief Medical Officer will complete a thorough examination into the manner and cause of death.
