Loreley Community Center playground holds ribbon-cutting ceremony, dedication

WHITE MARSH, MD—Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks officials and local elected representatives held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Loreley Community Center playground on Saturday morning.

The event took place at 11:30 a.m. on August 23rd.

“Today, we ‘cut the ribbon’ on the Loreley Community Center playground in White Marsh,” said Councilman David Marks. “The Orioles-themed colors add a vibrant splash to this park. The multipurpose court and walking trail are also being improved at this site, one of the oldest settled parts of the Philadelphia Road corridor.”

“This is one of nine playground projects being completed in 2025 and 2026 in our district,” Marks added. “Thank you to County Executive Kathy Klausmeier, my colleague Councilman Izzy Patoka, Delegates Ryan Nawrocki and Kathy Szeliga for joining me today and for their support, as well as my aide Bradley Lang, Recreation and Parks Councilmember Bill Murray, the White Marsh-Cowenton Improvement Association and the staff of the Baltimore County Department of Recreation and Parks.”

The playground is located at 11530 Philadelphia Road in White Marsh.
