BALTIMORE, MD—A Nottingham man was sentenced Monday to four years in federal prison for illegally possessing six “ghost guns,” a machine gun conversion device, and more than 1,200 rounds of ammunition.
Gino Michael Gelormino, 42, a convicted felon, was sentenced by Judge Matthew J. Maddox to four years in prison, followed by two years of supervised release.
According to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the charges stemmed from an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) and Maryland State Police into suspected members of the Dead Man Inc. gang. On April 11, 2024, a search warrant was executed at Gelormino’s Baltimore County residence.
Law enforcement recovered six privately manufactured firearms, commonly known as “ghost guns,” from a locked closet in the master bedroom. Gelormino’s wife told investigators that only she and her husband had access to the closet and that the items belonged to him.
Three of the firearms were equipped with loaded, high-capacity magazines and other accessories. Investigators also found a 3-D printed machine gun conversion device, known as a “switch,” which can convert a semi-automatic firearm to fully automatic.
In addition, law enforcement recovered three ballistic vests, approximately 1,258 rounds of ammunition, and paperwork related to the purchase of firearms and accessories.
