TOWSON, MD—The Baltimore County Public Library is launching a new author series, “Booked for Baltimore County Public Library,” with an appearance by best-selling author Erik Larson.
Larson, a No. 1 New York Times best-selling author of narrative nonfiction, will speak at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21 in the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel Ballroom in Towson. Free seating reservations will be available starting at noon on Thursday, Aug. 21, at https://www.foundationforbcpl.org. The library anticipates tickets will go quickly.
During the event, Larson will be in conversation with Baltimore County Public Library CEO Sonia Alcántara-Antoine. They will discuss his works, including The Devil in the White City, Dead Wake, and In the Garden of Beasts.
“This series is about inspiring our community and bringing people together through powerful stories and conversation,” Alcántara-Antoine said. “We are excited to launch ‘Booked for Baltimore County Public Library’ with such an extraordinary writer.”
The series is made possible by the Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library and is funded by donors and sponsors, including Bonnie Clark and M&T Bank.
Future authors scheduled for the 2025-2026 season include Kate Quinn, Jennifer Weiner, and 2025 Pulitzer Prize winner Percival Everett.
