BALTIMORE, MD—Maryland’s sports wagering market generated $7,252,318 in contributions to the state during July 2025.
Sports bettors in Maryland wagered $364,075,296 during the month and won back $319,514,522 in prizes. Sportsbook operators held 12.2% of the handle.
Retail sports wagering operators pay 15% of their taxable proceeds to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund, which supports public education programs. Mobile sports wagering operators pay 15% of their taxable proceeds to the Blueprint Fund and 5% to the state’s General Fund. For July 2025, the combined retail and mobile contribution to the Blueprint Fund was $5,471,453, while $1,780,865 in mobile proceeds went to the General Fund.
