Renowned mental health advocate to be special guest at tonight’s WMVFC Food Truck Tuesday

WHITE MARSH, MD—A man on a mission for mental health and suicide prevention will be the special guest at the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company’s Food Truck Tuesday event.

Joe Hall, founder of the nonprofit Hall Across the Country, is traveling through the 48 contiguous states to raise awareness for mental health resources and share stories of hope and resilience.

In 2022, Hall walked more than 3,100 miles from Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, to San Francisco in honor of a friend’s teenage son who died by suicide. That journey raised thousands of dollars for behavioral health services at a children’s hospital in Ohio.

The fire company is encouraging the community to meet Hall and support his cause.

The event, which is a fundraiser for the volunteer fire company, also serves as a collection point for two other charities. The fire company is asking attendees to bring pull tabs and aluminum cans to support families at the Baltimore Ronald McDonald House and to help flood victims in Texas through the “Archie’s Blankets Across America” program.

Food Truck Tuesday takes place at the WMVFC station, located at 10331 Philadelphia Road in White Marsh from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
