NASA Wallops rocket launch to be visible in skies over Mid-Atlantic states

WALLOPS ISLAND, VA—A NASA sounding rocket will carry student experiments to suborbital space for the RockSatX mission on Tuesday morning.

The launch is scheduled for Tuesday, August 12 at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility with the window opening at 6 a.m. through 9 a.m. EDT.

Livestream coverage will begin on the Wallops YouTube channel approximately fifteen minutes before the scheduled launch time.

For those on the Delmarva Peninsula, weather permitting, you may catch a glimpse of the rocket in the sky.

The Wallops Visitor Center will open at 5 a.m. for launch viewing.
