MIDDLE RIVER, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for eastern Baltimore County and southern Harford County.
The warning will remain in effect until 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 31st.
At just before 1:45 p.m., a confirmed waterspout was located just offshore near Bowleys Quarters, about seven miles northeast of Middle River, moving east at 20 mph.
For those in the direct path of a tornado touchdown, flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Damage to roofs, siding, and windows may occur. Mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed. Tree damage is likely.
This tornado is estimated to be near Perryman at around 1:45 p.m. EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornado include Joppa and Edgewood.
Residents should take cover now. Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
