BEL AIR, MD—The Maryland Center for the Arts brought together nearly 1,000 community members for its fifth annual Harmony Woods Music & Arts Fest, held June 20-21 in Bel Air. The two-day event featured live music, local food and craft beverages, art vendors and family-friendly activities, raising funds to support the center’s programs and community arts initiatives throughout Maryland.
“We’re incredibly proud to have celebrated our biggest and best Harmony Woods Music & Arts Fest yet,” said Jon Kohler, festival chair and owner of Pairings Bistro. “The energy from the crowd, the incredible lineup of live music, and the vibrant atmosphere of creativity and community made it truly unforgettable.”
The 2025 festival, held at 2503 S. Tollgate Road, the future site of the Maryland Center for the Arts’ full-scale regional arts center, showcased a diverse musical lineup including The Plate Scrapers, Carl Filipiak and the Jimi Jazz Band, Wicked Sycamore, Natalie Brooke, Reverend Smackmaster and the Congregation of Funk, and headliner Scythian. A replay of Scythian’s performance is available online.
Attendees also enjoyed offerings from participating breweries such as Hopkins Farm Brewery, 5th Company Brewing, Independent Brewing, Falling Branch Brewery, and Pickes Brewing Company. Local food trucks, including Box Hill Pizzeria & Crabcakes, Village Bistro, and 410 Empanadas, provided a variety of culinary options.
Major sponsors for this year’s festival included WJZ-TV, 100.7 The Bay, Harford TV, and The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company.
Looking ahead, Kohler announced that the sixth annual Harmony Woods Music & Arts Fest will take place on Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the same Bel Air location.
