Suspect arrested in connection with man found dead on I-83

BALTIMORE, MD—A Baltimore man has been arrested and charged in connection with the killing of a man found dead in a vehicle on northbound Interstate 83, city police announced Thursday.

Tyler Liggins, 29, of Baltimore, was taken into custody Wednesday without incident. He faces charges of first-degree assault, second-degree assault, and second-degree murder. Liggins is being held at the Central Booking Intake Facility.

The charges stem from the death of 43-year-old Travon Booth. Booth was found deceased in a vehicle on July 19, 2025, on I-83 North near the Ruxton Road exit, following what was initially reported as a single-vehicle crash.

Maryland State Police notified Baltimore Police homicide detectives on July 22 after Booth’s death was ruled a homicide due to multiple blunt force injuries by the medical examiner’s office.

Investigators believe the incident that led to Booth’s death originated in the 1100-block of West Northern Parkway.

Police are asking anyone with additional information to contact homicide detectives at 410-396-2100 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
