TOWSON, MD—The Baltimore County Police Department has promoted several of its members.
The department announced that 15-year-veteran Lieutenant Deneisha L. Seaman will become the first African-American female promoted to the rank of Captain.
The promotions include 30 sworn and 9 professional staff who bring decades of service, experience, and knowledge to their positions.
The ceremony took place at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 24, 2025, at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Baltimore, located at 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave., 21117.
