COCKEYSVILLE, MD—York Road has been reopened in Cockeysville/Hunt Valley following a massive water main break.

The busy thoroughfare was shut down on July 18 between Ashland Road and Shawan Road after a 30-inch  water main ruptured near 11223 York Road, creating a sinkhole.

Crews worked around-the-clock to repair the main and rebuild the road.

As of Tuesday afternoon, July 22, York Road has been fully reopened to traffic.
