Six Maryland Lottery players score $50,000 prizes, including Elkridge Powerball winner

BALTIMORE, MD—Six lucky Maryland Lottery players, including one Powerball participant from Elkridge, won $50,000 prizes in the past week as the multi-state Powerball jackpot continued its climb, nearing a third of a billion dollars. The estimated annuity jackpot for tonight’s Powerball drawing (July 21) stands at $308 million.

Beyond the Powerball win, the other $50,000 prizes were claimed on various Maryland Lottery games in Clements, Frederick, Gaithersburg, Olney, and Temple Hills.

Overall, the Maryland Lottery distributed nearly $30 million in prizes statewide between July 14 and July 20. This total included 28 tickets valued at $10,000 or more that were either sold or redeemed during that seven-day period.

Winners are advised to sign the backs of their tickets immediately and store them securely. Draw game tickets must be redeemed within 182 days of the drawing date, while FAST PLAY tickets expire 182 days after purchase. The final claim date for scratch-off tickets is listed on the Maryland Lottery’s scratch-offs webpage.

Prizes exceeding $25,000 must be redeemed by appointment at the Maryland Lottery Customer Resource Center in Baltimore. Winnings up to $25,000 can be claimed at the cashier windows of any of Maryland’s six casinos. For prizes up to $5,000, over 400 Expanded Cashing Authority Program (XCAP) locations are available.
