ESSEX, MD—Crews are on the scene of a crash on I-695 in the Essex area.

At just before 11:45 p.m. on Friday, July 18, the Maryland State Highway Administration advised that the I-695 inner loop had been shut down at MD 150 (Exit 38) due to an accident.

All inner loop lanes are currently closed.

There has been no word on any injuries.  Motorists should use caution in the area.
