MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Police in Baltimore County are investigating an assault involving a firearm that occurred on Thursday evening in the 100-block of Carroll Island Road in Bowleys Quarters (21220). The incident, which involved a group of juveniles, left two individuals with minor injuries.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired at around 5:30 p.m. on July 16th. Detectives determined that a firearm was discharged during a physical altercation.
One person, who was being assaulted, sustained minor injuries to the upper body. A second individual had a minor injury to a lower extremity. Investigators are working to determine if this was caused by a bullet graze or debris.
Police detained seven juveniles, ranging in age from 12 to 15, following the incident. The search for additional juveniles involved in the case is ongoing.
