Flood Watch issued for central Maryland on Monday

BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for central Maryland.

The watch will be in effect from 2 p.m. until midnight on Monday, July 14th.

Forecasters say showers and thunderstorms capable of producing heavy rainfall will move across the area Monday afternoon and evening.

Rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour are possible, which may lead to scattered instances of flash flooding where the heavy rain persist the longest.

Residents should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
