UPPERCO, MD—Baltimore County police are investigating a fatal crash that left a 35-year-old woman dead after her SUV veered off Dark Hollow Road and into a private pond.
Brittany Howard, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday after emergency crews pulled her from a submerged 2024 Ford Edge in the 15600-block of Dover Road, police said in a news release Monday.
Officers responded around 4:10 p.m. Sunday to reports of a crash in the area of Dark Hollow and Dover roads. Detectives determined Howard’s vehicle was traveling northbound on Dark Hollow Road when it left the roadway, crashed through a fence, and came to rest in a private pond.
The Baltimore County Fire Department and the Carroll County Dive Team assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team.
