MIDDLE RIVER, MD—Authorities are investigating a suspicious package in the Middle River area.

At around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Baltimore County Police Department said officers were investigating a suspicious package that had been left in the 900-block of Middle River Road (21220).

Middle River Road has been shut down between Bird River Road and Pulaski Park Drive.

Residents are being asked to avoid the area.
