BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for central and western Maryland.
The watch will remain in effect until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9th.
Forecasters say quarter-sized hail is possible with any storms that develop, along with 70 mph winds and frequent lightning. There is also the potential for a tornado or two.
A Flood Watch is also in effect.
Residents should remain weather-aware throughout the afternoon and evening hours.
