COCKEYSVILLE, MD—Baltimore County Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian on Sunday night in Cockeysville.

Benjamin Ganger, 37, was struck while crossing York Road near Halesworth Road around 9:10 p.m., police said. The striking vehicle, an Acura TL, fled the scene.

Ganger was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives with the Baltimore County Crash Team are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 410-887-5396 or 410-887-INFO (4636). Callers may remain anonymous.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
