GLEN ARM, MD—An ominous photo shows a funnel cloud forming in northeastern Baltimore County on Monday.

The photo was taken by Jennifer Bressler Asbury in Glen Arm just before a Tornado Warning was issued for the area. The photo was then shared by Meteorologist Justin Berk on his Facebook page.

Berk says that large, 1-inch hail was reported nearby and that Dopper radar showed cloud tops over 54,000 feet high.

The severe storms prompted flood warnings, tornado warnings, and water rescues throughout the area on Monday evening.  Several homes were also struck by lightning.
