FALLSTON, MD—Monday evening’s severe storms have caused damage to homes, prompted water rescues, and led to Flash Flood Warnings & Tornado Warnings being issued by the National Weather Service.
Belair Road has been flooded out at the entrance to Fallston Mall, as has Belair Road at Connolly Road. Units from Fallston Volunteer Fire & Ambulance company performed a swift water rescue in the 2300-block of Belair Road. Reckord Road has also been flooded out.
Wires have come down in the 1300-block of Old Fallston Road, the 2900-block of Guyton Road, the 1700-block of Wildwood Drive, and the 2600-block of Whitt Road.
Homes have been struck by lightning in the 1800-block of Alpine Drive, the 500-block of Stratford Road, the 100-block of Seevue Court (which led to a house fire), and the 1300-block of Sheridan Place.
Crews also responded to a generator fire in the 600-block of Reckord Road.
Flash Flood Warnings and Tornado Warnings were also issued for Joppa, Kingsville, Fallston, and other locations in northeast Baltimore County and southern Harford County throughout the evening.
Motorists are reminded to “turn around, don’t drown” when approaching flooded roadways.
