NOTTINGHAM, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for parts of Baltimore County and Harford County on Monday evening.
At just before 5 p.m., a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Perry Hall, near Middle River, and was nearly stationary.
For those in the direct path of a tornado touchdown, flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Damage to roofs, siding, and windows may occur. Mobile homes may be damaged or destroyed. Tree damage is likely.
This dangerous storm will be near Perry Hall and Kingsville at around 5:00 p.m. EDT.
Other locations impacted by this severe thunderstorm include Glen Arm, Fork, Benson, Joppa, Joppatowne, Upper Falls, Gunpowder, Bradshaw, and Edgewood.
Residents should take cover and move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.
Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
