BALTIMORE, MD—The heat wave will likely be broken by a few severe storms in central Maryland on Thursday.
The National Weather Service says Thursday, June 26, will be another hot and humid day across the region with heat index values of up to around 102-107 degrees.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible on Thursday afternoon and evening.
Given that some storms might be slow movers, there will also be a risk of flash flooding.
Residents should stay tuned to local forecasts throughout the day.
