BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for Thursday in the Baltimore area.
The advisory will be in effect from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on June 26, 2025.
Forecasters say heat index values of up to 107 degrees are possible. Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events. Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
Residents are reminded to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
