HEAT WAVE: Extreme Heat Warning issued for Tuesday in central Maryland

BALTIMORE, MD—The heat wave continues on Tuesday in central Maryland as the National Weather Service has once again issued an Extreme Heat Warning for much of the state.

The warning will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on June 24, 2025, and covers much of central Maryland.

Dangerously hot conditions are expected with heat index values of up to 110 degrees possible.

Heat related illnesses increase significantly during extreme heat and high humidity events.

Residents are reminded to drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.

Do not leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles. Car interiors will reach lethal temperatures in a matter of minutes.
