37-year-old Towson man dies in I-695 motorcycle crash in Parkville

PARKVILLE, MD—A Towson man died on Sunday night after his motorcycle crashed on the inner loop of Interstate 695 in Baltimore County, Maryland State Police reported.

The deceased was identified as 37-year-old Jamahl Sutton. Emergency medical services personnel pronounced Sutton dead at the scene.

According to a preliminary investigation, troopers from the Maryland State Police Golden Ring Barrack responded to the crash near Perring Parkway at approximately 9:05 p.m. on June 22, 2025. Police said Sutton was operating a motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he attempted to pass a Dodge Ram pulling a flatbed trailer.

The motorcycle struck the trailer, causing Sutton to lose control. The motorcycle then collided with a passenger vehicle that was parked on the shoulder. 

The Maryland State Police Crash Team is leading the active and ongoing investigation.
