BALTIMORE, MD—The Independent Investigations Division of the Maryland Office of the Attorney General on Wednesday released the body-worn camera footage from the fatal police-involved shooting that occurred on Sunday, May 18, 2025, in Dundalk.
The shooting happened at around 7:30 p.m. on May 18, 2025, in the 8200-block of N. Boundary Road (21222). Authorities say officers from the Baltimore County Police Department were responding to a call about a person experiencing a mental health crisis. When officers arrived, they found an armed man behind a house.
According to police, the officers interacted with the man and “the officer responded to the actions of the armed subject, resulting in one officer discharging their firearm striking the adult male.” The man was taken to the hospital where he died. Police say a firearm was recovered at the scene.
The decedent was identified as 43-year-old Glenn Pettie Jr. of Dundalk.
