BALTIMORE, MD—A few severe storms are possible in the Baltimore area on Friday evening.

The National Weather Service says showers and thunderstorms will develop later on Friday afternoon and evening.

Heavy rainfall could lead to instances of flash flooding, especially in urban areas.

A Flood Watch is in effect for the DC Metro area, but heavy rain and isolated storms may develop in and around the Baltimore area as well.

Residents should stay tuned to local forecasts.
