BALTIMORE, MD—The weekend could close out with a bang as forecasters say severe storms are possible in the Baltimore area.

The National Weather Service says isolated severe thunderstorms are possible on Sunday afternoon and evening.

The primary threat is damaging wind gusts, but large hail and a tornado or two are also possible.

In addition, locally heavy rainfall may lead to isolated instances of flash flooding of small streams and urban/poor drainage areas, with the greatest risk south of Baltimore.
