Donald Warren Richardson Obituary:

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Donald Warren Richardson on May 29, 2025. Don was the beloved husband of 44 years to Jill Marie (née Chilcoat) Richardson; a devoted and loving father to Mandy Nelson and her husband Tyler, Leanna Richardson, and Kerrie Richardson and her husband Milton Benitez; and a proud grandfather to Nora and Donald Nelson, who brought him immense joy.

Born to Barbara (née Meyers) Richardson and the late William W. Richardson, Don was a cherished son and a dear brother to Marty Richardson, Sr. and his wife Jackie, John Richardson and his wife Christine, Diane Richardson, Leslie Richardson, and Wesley Richardson. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother-in-law Carvel Chilcoat and his wife Denise, sister-in-law Judy Phillips, and many adoring aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Don was a man who deeply loved his family and was happiest surrounded by those he held dear. He treasured his role as a father and grandfather, and found great joy in watching his grandchildren grow. Whether vacationing in Florida, enjoying time at the dirt track, watching hockey, or working on the farm, Don embraced life with a gentle, kind spirit and a strong work ethic.

Known to his family as a “dog whisperer,” Don shared a special bond with animals, especially his beloved dogs Ruby, Duncan, and the late Lacey. His warm smile, easy conversations, and genuine kindness made him a friend to all who met him.

Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories at the Richardson Barn, 6040 Glen Arm Road, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services and entombment will be held privately.

In honor of Don’s love for his community and animals, memorial contributions may be made to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company (www.wmvfc.org) or to an animal charity of your choice.

The Richardson family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support extended to them during this difficult time. Don’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
