BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Baltimore area.
The watch will be in effect from 7 p.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025 until 6 a.m. on Saturday, May 31st.
Forecasters say a slow-moving frontal system will track across the area, and multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are possible.
A round of thunderstorms with heavy rain will move into the area early Friday evening, followed by a shift to a slow-moving complex of moderate-to-heavy rain into the late evening and night.
Total rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is likely, with localized amounts of up to 5 inches possible. Thunderstorms may produce rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour.
