NOTTINGHAM, MD—A suspicious package resulted in a heavy police response in the Nottingham area on Thursday afternoon.
At just after 12 p.m. on May 22, 2025, officers responded to a reported suspicious package at the Festival at Perry Hall shopping center, located in the 4100-block of E. Joppa Road (21236), according to Councilman David Marks.
A heavy police presence was reported in the area and a bomb squad was dispatched to the scene, according to witness reports.
After investigation, it was determined that there was no threat, according to Councilman Marks.
Officers will be clearing the scene shortly. Police say there is no active threat to the public.
