TOWSON, MD—Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library has announced the launch of The BIG Give – Let’s Do Something BIG, Together!, a six-week fundraising campaign dedicated to supporting critical programs and services.
The campaign runs from May 19 to June 30, with a special Kickoff Day Celebration happening at select library branches on Monday, May 19, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
During the Kickoff events, community members are invited to stop by participating branches to make their donations in person and receive exclusive thank you gifts:
- Donate $1 or more and receive a custom Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library magnet, perfect for showing your library pride.
- Donate $120 or more and take home a stainless steel “My Heart Belongs to the Library” water bottle—a stylish way to stay hydrated and support your library.
Participating branches include Catonsville, Cockeysville, Hereford, Owings Mills, Perry Hall, Pikesville, Reisterstown and Towson.
Special extended hours are available at Catonsville and Reisterstown, where donors can visit between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.
“Our libraries are more than just buildings—they are places of connection, learning and opportunity for everyone,” said Ann Beegle, executive director of Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library. “Through The BIG Give, we are inviting our community to join us in making a lasting impact that ensures everyone has access to the resources they need to succeed.”
Proceeds from The BIG Give will support critical initiatives, including:
- Children’s Literacy Programs – Enhancing spaces like Storyville and children’s area upgrades to inspire lifelong learning.
- Digital Access Initiatives – Providing technology resources and expanding WiFi and long-term device lending for education and connectivity.
- Outreach Programs – Supporting services like Pocketalk for real-time translation, bridging language gaps across communities.
- STREAM Vehicle Services – Bringing hands-on learning in science, technology, reading, engineering, art and math to neighborhoods.
- Mobile Library Service Center – Delivering library resources, technology and programming to underserved areas.
- Capital Projects – Renovating library spaces to keep them modern, welcoming and accessible for all.
Local donors are equally enthusiastic about supporting the campaign. “I’ve seen firsthand how much our local libraries do for families and communities. From Storyville to mobile outreach programs, the library is truly a lifeline for so many,” said Anne West, a long-time supporter of the Foundation. “The BIG Give is a chance for all of us to come together and make sure these life-changing services continue to thrive.”
