BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for the Baltimore area.

The watch will remain in effect through 10 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025.

Forecasters say that severe storms may develop on Friday afternoon and into the evening hours. Multiple rounds of storms are possible.

The main threats associated with these storms will be damaging wind gusts and isolated large hail.  Residents should remain weather-aware throughout the afternoon and evening hours.
