BALTIMORE, MD—An active weather day lies ahead for the Baltimore area on Friday, with multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms possible.

The National Weather Service says there will be plenty of fuel for these potential storms to work with given the increasing heat and humidity throughout the day.

Forecasters say a slight risk for severe storms covers the entire area, with damaging winds and large hail being the main threats.

Another round of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds and large hail is possible on Saturday afternoon.
