Perry Hall 250 Committee announces free BSO concert

PERRY HALL, MD—In celebration of Perry Hall’s 250th birthday, the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert for all ages in July.

The concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Perry Hall Baptist Church.

The show will be the centerpiece of this year’s celebration. All residents are welcome to attend, free of charge. The church can seat up to 800 attendees and has ample parking.

The performance will feature a 14-piece brass ensemble and percussion, with a program that includes a number of popular works.

“We are proud to welcome the world-renowned Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to our community to commemorate Perry Hall’s 250th birthday,” said Baltimore County Councilman David Marks, who established the committee to organize the yearlong celebration.

“The BSO performance highlights a year of many milestones in Perry Hall,” added Pat Keller, president of the Perry Hall Improvement Association and a member of the planning committee. In addition to the July performance, a time capsule will be buried. Perry Hall’s roadside historic markers will be restored, and the Honeygo Regional Veterans Memorial will be completed.

“Perry Hall has a rich history,” added Renee Streib, president of the Woman’s Club of Perry Hall and also a member of the planning committee. “We celebrate its heritage and are optimistic for the future.”

Jean Borne, president of the Perry Hall/White Marsh Business Association and another planning committee member, added that there will be more information about the performance and other activities at the Perry Hall Town Fair on Saturday, June 21 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Perry Hall High School. “We all look forward to a terrific show.”

Other organizers include Bev German, Vicki Keller, and Margot Kopera.
