ESSEX, MD—Police say they have files charges against five juveniles after video of an assault that occurred in the Essex area spread across social media.
The Baltimore County Police Department says charges have been filed against five of the eight juveniles involved in an assault that occurred on March 7, 2025 in the 1400-block of Hadwick Drive (21221).
Due to the ages of three of the juveniles, state law prohibits authorities from bringing charges against them in this case.
Based on the information provided to investigators, police say the incident is not believed to be a hate crime at this time.
The victim sustained minor injuries. Video of the incident can be viewed below (viewer discretion is advised).
