Crews to improve pavement on Route 40 in White Marsh next week

WHITE MARSH, MD—The Maryland State Highway Administration will begin patching sections of asphalt pavement along two miles of US 40 (Pulaski Highway) between Days Cove Road and the Harford County line at Little Gunpowder Falls in eastern Baltimore County next week.

The work will begin on Monday, March 10, 2025. The patching project is expected to be completed in early April, weather permitting.

Starting Monday, crews will work weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists can expect single- lane closures in both directions of US 40 while work is taking place. Contractor Gray and Son, Inc. of Timonium will use temporary traffic signs, cones and barrels to guide motorists through the work zone.

The $1.6 million project is part of an areawide contract to patch and resurface pavements on primary State highways in Baltimore County.

Motorists should stay alert and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
