TOWSON, MD—A fire broke out on the grounds near the Hampton Mansion on Sunday morning.
At around 11 a.m. on February 2, 2026, fire crews responded to the Hampton National Historic Site, located at 535 Hampton Lane in Towson.
Arriving units found smoke showing from both floors of the two-story farmhouse on the property. A fire in the basement was quickly extinguished.
Investigators are working to determine the cause of the blaze and the extent of the damage. No injuries were reported.
