BALTIMORE, MD—The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for the Baltimore area.
The watch will be in effect from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Forecasters say widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected on Sunday afternoon and into the evening hours with multiple rounds possible.
Thunderstorms may be capable of producing intense rainfall rates of an inch or two per hour which may result in flash flooding of small streams and creeks.
Residents should stay tuned to local forecasts throughout the day.
