ESSEX, MD—Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday morning in the area of Holgate Drive and Hadwick Drive in Essex (21221).

When officers responded to the area, they located a male victim suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.

As detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this shooting, they are asking anyone with information concerning the case to contact 410-307-2020.
