TOWSON, MD—Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed in eastern Towson over the weekend.

At around 3:15 a.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2023, officers responded to a reported pedestrian crash that occurred near the intersection of East Joppa Road and Loch Raven Boulevard.

Investigators have determined that 53-year-old Earl Preston III was struck by a 2018 Acura TLX that was traveling eastbound on East Joppa Road as he was attempting to cross Joppa Road.

Medics transported the victim to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Acura remained at the scene.

Authorities continue to investigate this incident and the circumstances surrounding it.
