County Council passes Councilman Marks’ bill to protect forest cover, ban panhandle lots in Honeygo

NOTTINGHAM, MD—Baltimore County Councilman David Marks this week announced the passage of sweeping legislation (Bill 11-23) to improve building standards in Honeygo, the development district in northeastern Perry Hall.

At its meeting on April 3th, the Baltimore County Council passed legislation that creates among the toughest forest conservation standards in Baltimore County that area. The legislation also bans panhandle lots in the Honeygo area.

“I would like to thank my colleagues for their unanimous support of this legislation,” said Councilman Marks. “It will go a long way toward retaining some of the remaining forest cover in Perry Hall, and it will improve building standards for any remaining development that is built.”

Councilman Marks credited the Perry Hall Improvement Association for working with him on the legislation.
